Getting to an allied health professional is not always easy or possible, it’s often more convenient for them to come to you. Eden Allied has a passion for disability services, we love to make a difference in the lives of disabled individuals, help them achieve meaningful goals and stay independent and included in the community. We have experienced therapists and support staff who can visit you across Metro Melbourne. If you live outside the catchment areas, we can still help you through our online services. Allied Health Services
Physiotherapy
An experienced Physiotherapist will visit you, conduct a mobility assessment and understand your mobility goals. They may prescribe you exercises, assist in purchasing appropriate mobility aids and other assistive technologies and improve your overall independence.
Occupational Therapy
Our passionate and experienced Occupational Therapists will assess your daily living skills and make recommendations to maximize your independence, they may also conduct home assessments, prescribe equipment such as wheelchairs/scooters and prescribe/set up assistive technology.
Speech Therapy
Our Speech Therapists may conduct communication assessments, advise you on correct breathing techniques, relaxation strategies to help relax muscles when you speak, postural control, voice exercises and tips on alternative ways of communicating.
How can our allied health professional assist you?
- Physiotherapy (Pain management, Strengthening, mobility aid prescription, general fitness).
- Occupational Therapy (Individual assessments, home and vehicle assessments and modifications, prescription of specialized daily living equipment, adapting to mobility limitations that impact daily living).
- Speech Pathology (Help with communication and swallowing problems, prescribe augmentative communication devices).
Support Services
Our highly professional and experienced support staff can visit you at home, assist in engaging you with the community, or provide you with respite care to give your loved ones a break from their carer role, or allow you to get away and experience fun and exciting adventures.
In-Home care: We provide individualized support care in the comfort of your home. We assess your daily needs and assist you in your daily activities so you can live a happier and more independent life.
Community Participation: Our highly experienced support staff can also link you with various activities in the community, whether that be learning to cook or attending the footy, we can make it happen.
Respite Care/Short Term Accommodation: We offer Short Term Accommodation to give carers a break from their caring role and to organize fun, action-packed weekends for our clients.
